The lightweight, USB-rechargeable SteriPEN® Ultra is one of the most advanced UV water purifiers around. It is easy to use and kills 99.9% of the bacteria, viruses and protozoa that cause water-borne illness. Its OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display shows you the treatment and battery status at a glance and each battery charge can treat 50 litres of water per charge while the UV lamp lasts for 8000 x 1 litre treatments. The Ultra provides you with safe water fast and without chemicals - perfect for travelling and backpacking.

- Internal battery that's recharged from any USB power source; connect the included USB cable and start charging from a solar panel, laptop or car power port
- Low-power indicator lets you know when battery needs recharging; when fully charged you can treat 50 litres
- Ultraviolet (UV-C) light rays safely purify clear water by destroying 99.9% of protozoa (including Giardia and Cryptosporidia), bacteria and even viruses
- Treatment time is 48 or 90 seconds (half or full litre) and when the treatment is complete, the on-screen smile lights up and lets you know that the water is safe to drink
- Use only on clear water, as cloudy, sediment-laden water hinders effectiveness
- Designed to treat 500ml to 1 litre of water at a time (if you have more then separate into 1 litre or less amounts)
- UV lamp treats up to 8000 litres of water, 50 litres per charge
- The optical water sensor means this device will only work when immersed in water
- Requires no pumping, chemicals, test strips, extended time-keeping or filters; leaves no after taste, will not clog and does not require lubrication
- When operating properly the Ultra will emit a visible light as well as UV light so if you can't see a light it needs to be repaired before further use
- Minimum bottle diameter = 20mm
