Technology

A lightweight two-layer laminate with a hydrophilic Gelanots membrane from Japanese manufacturer Toyota, with taped seams throughout, keeps you dry whether you're exposed to rain, wind, or sweating on a strenuous climb. Exposed areas - shoulders, forearms, and waist - are made of a tougher fabric for added durability.

The external pockets are equipped with waterproof YKK zippers, they are large enough for comfortable use with gloves and their location allows comfortable use even when wearing a seat or backpack with a hip belt.

The sufficiently large integrated hood, under which the climbing helmet fits, can be pulled down in two directions - at the hem and horizontally at ear level. This prevents cold from the outside, while allowing a comfortable view and not restricting much needed peripheral vision. The hood is rolled up to the collar in case you don't need it right now.

The Gelanots laminated fabric has a water column of 20,000 mm and a breathability of 25,000 g H2O/m2. This is simply explained by the fact that if you kneel down in the mud, for example, assuming a contact area of 10 cm2, you can weigh 200 kg and the membrane will not leak. The two-layer laminate then means that the membrane is laminated on the top fabric and protected from mechanical damage on the inside by a lightweight mesh lining. It also keeps the membrane from sticking to sweaty skin and makes the jacket very comfortable to wear.
