Mountaineering tradition meets innovation and performance in the Stellar Nubuck GTX. The upper in finest quality nubuck is combined with excellent insulation from the elements guaranteed by the Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane and a boot construction delivering an unparalleled, enveloping and protective fit with a protective rand and Lycra collar. Protection is further assured by the toecap reinforced with high-performance rubber and the Kayland Ankle Lock System which supports your ankle whilst guaranteeing natural movement. The standout feature of Stellar range is its sole unit: the foot sits directly on the soft EVA midsole that provides enhanced cushioning during footstrike and impacts with rough terrain. The Vibram® Stellar sole unit has been designed exclusively for Kayland. The internal construction features a honeycomb design that lightens the structure, enhances thermal insulation and delivers excellent shock absorption. The encased midsole in dual density PU foam sits above the PU insole, which is also perforated to reduce weight and increase torsional stability. The sole unit contains an integrated welt to take semi-automatic crampons.
